Here is a great map that shows where all the dog parks are... and the hotels nearest them! Click to open! In NYC, it’s best to know that there are certain rules for dogs at the parks: dogs on leash, dogs off-leash, and dog runs.
Be sure to research ahead to find out when the off-leash hours are at the dog park of your choosing so Spot can have a good run-around! Also, make sure your pups are up-to-date on their vaccinations – no one wants their dogs get other dogs sick!

Beaches and Bathing Facilities: Dogs are not allowed to enter any bathing facilities, including New York City beaches. However, as a courtesy, leashed dogs are allowed on the sand and boardwalk at Rockaway Beach, Coney Island & Brighton Beach, Manhattan Beach, Midland Beach, and South Beach from October 1 until May 1. Dog Run in New York: Kept open by the non-profit “Friends of First Run,” this dog run features three bone-shaped water pools and is the LARGEST off-leash dog park in New York City. This large dog run is open 365 days a year from 6 AM to 12 AM. This dog run is run solely on community donations so considering donating so all dogs can enjoy this run in the future. |

Dog Run in New York: 105 Street Dog Run in Riverside Park This dog run is loved by all and has strong roots in the community. There have been three phases of restoration (including creating a “Watering Hole” and restoration of the run surface”) and the 105th Street Dog Run User Group has gathered together to raise this money for the dogs. "One of the bigger dog runs in Manhattan. Dirt/sand. Pretty dusty, but the dogs don't seem to mind. It has a doggy pool and hoses for giving large dogs a bath or a swim." Interested in learning more? Dog Park in New York: Hudson River Park Dog Run (Greenwich Village)- Hudson River Park offers three fantastic locations where your dog can run free and play with other dogs. Leroy Street Dog Run Features a double-gated safety vestibule, and fences all around. Fresh running water is generally available for pets inside the dog runs from mid-April through early November. Hard surface has drainage. Benches and trash cans are provided for dog owners/handlers. The cleaning schedules are posted at each dog run and they are cleaned twice a day.
